Eligibility
AppDrop is intended for software developers and QA testers distributing builds to authorized recipients. You must be at least 13 years old to use the service.
Your Responsibilities
By uploading a build file, you represent and warrant that:
- You own the app or have explicit permission from the owner to distribute it.
- The build is signed with a valid Apple Distribution or Android signing certificate you are authorized to use.
- You will only share install links with testers who are authorized to receive the build (e.g. registered devices on your Apple Developer account for ad-hoc distribution, or consenting internal testers for enterprise distribution).
- The build does not contain malware, spyware, or any code intended to harm the devices or users who install it.
- You comply with Apple's Developer Program License Agreement, Google's Developer Distribution Agreement, and all applicable laws.
Prohibited Uses
You may not use AppDrop to:
- Distribute apps you do not own or have no right to distribute.
- Bypass Apple App Store or Google Play Store review for public distribution.
- Distribute apps that violate the intellectual property rights of others.
- Distribute malicious software of any kind.
- Circumvent device management policies or enterprise certificate restrictions.
Google Drive & Storage
AppDrop stores all build files in your own Google Drive account. You are responsible for any storage used. AppDrop only accesses files it has created (via the drive.file OAuth scope) and cannot access your other Drive content. You can revoke access or delete files at any time.
No Warranty
AppDrop is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We make no guarantees regarding uptime, availability, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose. Use the service at your own risk.
Because AppDrop is open source, you are encouraged to self-host it for production use cases where reliability is critical.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, AppDrop and its contributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to loss of data, device damage, or failed app installations.
Intellectual Property
You retain all rights to the build files you upload. AppDrop does not claim any ownership over your content. The AppDrop application code is licensed under the MIT License — see the LICENSE file in the repository for details.
Termination
You may stop using AppDrop at any time. Simply sign out and revoke access from your Google Account permissions. Your build files will remain in your Google Drive unless you delete them.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be committed to the GitHub repository and the "Last updated" date above will be revised. Continued use of AppDrop after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
